Etsy find: Ali Douglass
This ‘Modern Chairs’ print is a featured piece in Ali Douglass’ Etsy shop. This is a print of an original painting of the artist’s favorite modern chairs. We’re happy to see some Knoll classics like the Platner, Wassily and Diamond chair made the cut.
Etsy find: Stitched Cards

Etsy find: Jason Hill Design
We stumbled across the Jason Hill Design Etsy shop and just had to stop when we saw these screen prints of two Knoll mid-century modern classics – the Tulip chair and the Bertoia diamond chair. Great size, great colors, great gift!
Etsy find: the bees knees designs
Etsy shop, the bees knees designs, features this silhouette of a Saarinen tulip chair painted on pine wood. A frame isn’t required for this great little piece – it’s ready to hang! As a retailer that loves mid-century modern furniture, we think this would be a fun addition to any MCM fanatic’s home!

Just can’t get enough of Etsy! Look as these prints from the Please Be Still shop.
These prints were created from original illustrations done for what the artist calls the ‘Modern Design Deck’ series. There are about 30 prints of iconic furniture items to choose from. The image is 6″ x 8″ with a white border pritned on 8.5″ x 11″ archival paper. Perfect for the mid-century modern lover.

A couple weeks ago we did a post “Bringing the outside in: Moss“. Check out the moss terrariums from Etsy seller, Made by Mavis. The terrariums contain very slow growing moss and other tiny plants, and require very little care. Really like these!
The seller asserts that the terrariums ship very securely, so you don’t need to worry about opening a package with a big mess inside. Each purchase comes with simple care instructions.

How fun and vibrant are these silkscreen prints, titled “Side Chair on Grids“ from Miss Moniker’s shop on Etsy?!?!
There were five silkscreen prints done. Each print is unique, as it varies both in background colors and in registration. Also, each piece has been signed and numbered by the artist.
The prints were done on Arches Cover white printmaking paper. The sizes of the prints vary slightly, but they’re all around 8″ x 11″ with deckled edges.
If you like, the artist will mount the piece (free of charge) on 11″ by 14″ lightly textured, off-white paper for easy framing.

Stumbling upon Cherie Lester’s work inspired us to check out what other mid-century inspired work we could find on Etsy. Our second fun find comes from Nouveau Designs. Their Bertoia chair series cards are great!
Inspired by the chairs designed by Harry Bertoia, the series of cards showcases three variations. Images were created by digitally manipulating photographs of the Diamond Chair, Bertoia Side Chair and Bertoia Bar Stool. Each chair is set against a bright, saturated background. The cards, printed on thick textured cardstock, are 4.25″ x 5.5″ when folded.
Great for personal notes or to gift to your mid-century-loving friend.
