Coming Soon to 14th St: Lost Society
14th & U is getting a brand new steakhouse with gorgeous interiors and a roofdeck for those wonderful summer nights. Lost Society, which plans on opening this Friday (July 1st), will focus on blending ”market-fresh local produce, dry-aged and certified Angus beef, as well as regional seafood with innovative techniques to create both familiar classics and bold original dishes.”
The rich textures, fabrics and colors found inside are designed to transport restaurant-goers to an underground Victorian era.
Who wants to take us to dinner? We can’t wait to try it!
Lost Society: 2001 14TH ST. NW. WASHINGTON DC 20009, info@lostsociety-dc.com, open Tuesday through Sunday.
Places to go | Folks to know – DC
Hey – DC folks! Have you made it to Eatonville yet? If not, it’s definitely worth the trip. The menu is inspired by delicious Southern food recipes and the decor pays homage to author Zora Neale Hurston. She is also the inspiration behind the restaurant’s name. The Vastu team has been and we recommend trying the catfish, roasted duck salad, braised collard greens and all the desserts!
*New* Masa 14 restaurant (our neighbors!) now open for business
If you ask us, one of the hippest places to be in DC is Midcity. And it seems we’re not alone in our thinking. As new businesses and restaurants continue to take root in the neighborhood, we patiently count down the days to their grand opening.
Well, our neighbor (two doors down) Masa 14 has been open for about a week now and we’re thrilled. Right now they’re only open for dinner, but they hope to one day be open for lunch (YES!).
Give them a try and let us know what you think!
