Keepin’ it kid friendly: Suzanne Lounge Collection
The Suzanne Lounge Collection is part of Knoll’s new “knoll kids” furniture collection. The lounge collection includes a single chair, double chair and settee design. Constructed of steel and high-resiliency foam, the pieces in the collection are extremely durable. You can also choose from dozens of functional, easy to clean fabrics to create a unique seating option for children.
It’s all about angles…
Light fixtures with exposed bulbs and wires weren’t the only trend spotted at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile. While, organic shapes have been a big part of design for quite some time now, Vastu co-owners Eric and Jason noticed that sharp angles and straight lines made a big showing at this year’s furniture show in Milan. Wallpaper* magazine has some great coverage of designers who went “edgy” this year.

“Hi! So I saw on all my favorite design blogs that turquoise is the color for 2010. I was thinking this may make a good wall color for my twins’ bedroom – a boy and a girl. I figured it might be good because it looks good with pinks (for my daughter’s side of the room) and greens (for my son’s side). Are there any good turquoise paint colors out there or would you suggest another color that is fairly gender neutral?”
The Pantone Color of the Year for 2010 is…
Turquoise (PANTONE 15-5519)!
