Design Services Page Re-Design!
If you’ve checked out our web page for Vastu Design Services you may have noticed that things look a little different now.
To better showcase what our interior design consultations can achieve we’ve added a simple slideshow of Before & Afters from past client projects.

The best part of this re-design is that you can go from a before & after slide to the actual project within our Portfolio, see the pieces our designers used in the space and then head to product page to get dimensions, pricing and other information!
If you haven’t visited our website in awhile, be sure to check our new Design Services page today.
(And if you have any friends or family who have recently moved or are looking to redecorate, send ‘em our way!)
Vastu and Chesapeake Home + Living
Just a heads up to all you Design Clique readers to keep a look out for the next issue of Chesapeake Home + Living magazine for a feature story on the Corcoran Street Rowhouse designed by our very own Eric Kole.
The article Hollywood Glamour, by Scott Sowers, showcases the Victorian-era townhouse in Logan Circle that Eric updated with Vastu’s collection of “warm modern” pieces to match how “the couple wanted to combine the home’s old world charm with the modern lifestyle of its new owners”.
It’s a great article and the photos by Timothy Bell are gorgeous!

Visit your local hardware store and see what they have in terms of drawer pulls, cabinet knobs, etc. Also check places like a second-hand store, Anthropologie or Etsy.
Check out these before & after projects that involve changing out furniture hardware. Both projects are from Design*Sponge (a most fantastic design blog!)…

Well, all the new pieces arrived, deliveries have been made, and after shots of the Chevy Chase project have been taken! Here’s a look and the finished product…
Before and After: Chevy Chase Victorian II
The verdict came in and the clients loved Sarita’s plan to divide the elongated family room into a reading nook and entertainment area centered around the fabulous Victorian fireplace. The Womb chair is the perfect iconic piece for the reading area, while a Florence Knoll inspired Bonn sofa offers plenty of seating options in the entertainment area.
Before and After: Chevy Chase Victorian I
Located in Chevy Chase Maryland, this clients’ residence is really something to see. The victorian style single family is adorned with beautiful architectural details. The homeowners truly take pride in their home.
Vastu was tasked with revamping the living room in order to showcase some of the room’s existing pieces (a coffee table built by the owner, a rug and a side chair) and make the space more functional for entertaining. Additionally, the homeowners wanted to keep their wall color the same. Read more
