A little known fact is that a majority of the custom hand-made sofas we carry can be made as sleepers. All it requires is that you choose a frame that has loose seat cushions (so that you’re able to remove them) and that you pick a size that meets the minimum size requirements (66″ W for a full and 78″ W for a queen, in most cases). And if you’re worried about being able to see the sleeper component at the bottom of the sofa when it’s not in use, then don’t! We increase the size of the lower portion of the sofa (the apron) to conceal everything.

The sleeper component consists of a 4″ innerspring mattress and a 4″ inflatable air mattress. That gives you 8 inches of mattress that prevents you from feeling a crossbar making it comfortable to sleep on.

Co-owner Eric Kole actually has a Metro Sleeper Sofa in his own home that’s used by friends and family when visiting.

‘W’ is for Wassily

The Wassily chair is a Knoll classic. Created by Marcel Breuer in 1925, the Wassily chair’s tubular steel frame and leather belting make for a very sculptural design.

‘X’ is for X3

The X3 chair, designed by Marco Maran, is another popular Knoll chair. Maran, inspired by Harry Bertoia’s work with wire, created a chair that is stackable and ideal for cafe, residential and educational spaces.

If you’re looking for a simple, clean-lined platform bed, the Stellar platform bed is an excellent choice. But not only is this bed well designed, it is made with environmentally friendly manufacturing processes. The factory has a small carbon footprint and all power used in the factory is hydro-electric generated.

‘T’ is for Tesauro

Available in five sizes and a number of different interior and exterior finishes, the choices seem endless with Tesauro shelving. Keep things simple by selecting a white interior finish and walnut exterior finish, or go bold with a turquoise interior finish and macassar ebony exterior finish. Sculptural, transitional, iconic – that is the Platner side table. Designed by Warren Platner in 1966, the Platner side table is part of the Knoll portfolio of products.  The top is available in a number of glass, marble and wood options, and the base is available in polished nickel or metallic bronze.

‘Q’ is for Quad

Need to add a little extra storage to your bedroom? The Quad tall boy may be the perfect solution. Measuring just 23.5″ W this tall boy is a particularly good choice for small bedroom spaces. Choose from 7 different finishes to create a piece that fits your style.

‘R’ is for Riart

We are thrilled about this new addition to the Knoll portfolio. The Riart rocker is available with a light walnut or Sycamore frame finish and you can choose from hundreds of textiles and leathers for the seat and back cushion.

‘J’ is for Jada

The Jada Sconce features handcarved circle on a mirrored surface and antiqued gold frame. This wall light is a great combination of modern style and traditional aesthetics. Sconces can be done in a foyer, bedroom or  dining room.

‘K’ is for Kayne

Choose from hundreds of fabrics and leathers to create you own, unique Kayne bed. Other elements of the design you can be personalized – the size, headboard height, platform height, platform type (slats or box spring ready) and seams.

Step 1: Style

You can choose from a number of standard Steven Anthony styles either shown in our showroom or on our online catalog, or personalize a style all your own with our design staff.  And keep in mind, our standard styles are just guides. You can change any of the styles in a number of ways.

Step 2: Dimensions

Sofas and sectionals are available in any length in 6-inch increments. A popular sofa length among out city-dwelling customers is 72″ L (or 6′), but we can do 60″, 66″, 78″, 84″, 90″ etc.  For example, we have a Milano sofa at 72″ L…
