Bored with your room…
…rethink what’s under your feet. A new area rug is a great way to introduce a new color or texture into your design. There are so many different floor covering styles to choose from! You can go with a shag, a loop, or maybe even a fun pattern.
Design Direction
Do you have a challenging space or need some design guidance? Design Direction is a chance for you to submit photos or videos of your design challenge(s) and a Vastu interior designer will provide you with some help. Every Wednesday we will feature one reader’s submission.
“Designers, I need your advice. I’m expecting and it’s time to start getting the nursery together (yaaaaay!). My partner and I have decided NOT to find out the sex of the baby, so I’m having a really difficult time settling on a paint color for the walls. I know people tend to go with yellow or green colors because they’re supposed to be gender neutral, but I can’t seem to find anything in either color palette I like. Any other color suggestions?”

Flower Power!
Flowers are beautiful. They inspire everything from art to fashion to interior design. If you’re looking to incorporate floral patterns into your home, but want to do it in a modern way, we can help. Vastu’s Senior Designer, Sarita Peresada, offers up two important things to keep in mind when it comes to incorporating florals into your home.
#1 – Be sure to select modern or vintage patterns. Stay away from country or traditional patterns.
