Mid-century Modern Week
January 5, 2010 · Posted in Knoll furniture
We’ve decided to dedicate this week’s post to mid-century modern design. As a proud Knoll retailer, we have the opportunity to experience mid-century design on a daily basis and we’d like to put a little spotlight on (what we consider to be) such an important part of the design industry.
What is mid-century modern design? Well, the Wikipedia definition is a good one… Mid-century modern is an architectural, interior or product design form that generally describes mid-20th century developments in modern design, architecture, and urban development from roughly 1933 to 1965.
Are you familiar with the mid-century modern design aesthetic? What do you think about it?
