The Lake Barcroft Project: Part I
A friend of Vastu has been kind enough to let us follow his renovation project. This renovation has been no small task. Work began this summer, and the goal is to take a home built in 1960 from this…
to this…
The plan is to take the existing house, a split-level that has not been modified since it was built in 1960 (including the interior finishes), and convert the structure into a modern design.
The renovation will add a 3-level glass tower to the rear corner. This tower along with changes being done to all rooflines will be done to provide great views of both the water and tree canopy. The plan for the interior interior space is to create a floor plan that generates an open flow, while maintaining individual areas on each of the five levels.
We will continue to check in on progress of The Lake Barcroft Project. Estimated completion date is early 2010. Can’t wait to see the final product. Stay tuned!!

Well that should add to the ruin of a beautiful area.
